What is UP you guys! As you all may know by the abundance of organization/stationery blogs I write. I’m in love with school supplies. Not the ruled paper and glue stick kind. But the best kind. Pens. I literally cannot get enough of pens. And you know what? I’ve just come to accept that. And I’m pretty sure everyone else around me has as well.
A good selection of pens makes for not only an amazing school supplies addition but it also makes your notes extra pretty. I mean, who doesn’t want to study for accounting in pastel pink? You know your girl does. (Even though I hate accounting. 10/10 would not recommend. Even if it’s required. I might drop out of school. Lol, jk mom. Sort of.) But anyways, let’s get it going. I present to you:
The Best School Supplies For Your Spring/Summer Semesters
I have raved about these pens before. They are the only ones I use for anything now. My collection has grown from the basic 10 pack I got in September 2014. To a full blown obsession. I have the highlighter collection, the thick tip collection, and now the pastels have graced my life. Really all I want is a pack of 10 of the blush pink ones but the pack of assorted will have to do. These pens write so beautifully and only the thicker tips seem to bleed through paper. They’re incredible for revision notes because you can make studying fun! Cmon, who doesn’t like drawing T accounts in lilac. Oh what was that? No one? You’re right. It was the thought that counts.
The pastel collection brings instant spring vibes to anything you write during your spring semester. And hey, maybe it’ll make it that much easier to deal with. I don’t know about you but I have to rewrite my notes to study, and having beautiful pens really makes me WANT to do it. Even if I’d rather do anything else.
2. A Great Sketchbook
Now if you’re like me you can get a bit frustrated with ruled paper. It’s so bizarre because I just feel so confined with all the lines. I can’t draw extra shapes or charts without following the lines. And that just wastes paper. Cue the sketchbook. While my drawing skills are far from impeccable the sketchbook allows me to do whatever the heck I feel like. Start all the way past the margin? Sure! Draw a note box in the shape of a heart? You betcha. You can do anything with a sketchbook and it’s the best.
My favourite sketchbooks are from Chapters and they come in two beautiful colours. Now, you know I’m a sucker for marble, blush, and black. And you know Chapters has hooked your girl UP. (Seriously though Chapters if you see this and want to sponsor me I would not be mad.) I probably spend way too much money every single time I go but I always love the pieces I leave with. What I absolutely love about these sketchbooks though is they flip AT THE TOP. That means you’re not constantly battling with the awkward side margin. You can literally write side to side. (I know you just sang that in your head.)
Check these babies out! I know you’ll love them.
3. A Great Planner
Okay we all know by now your girl is OBSESSED with planners. Which is actually sort of an expensive habit because I never use one all the way through. But, that’s besides the point. A great planner actually helps you stay organized and accountable to the things you’ve written in it. Some of the best planners I have used are the Happiness Planner, the Carpe Diem planner, and my number 1 all time favourite. The bullet journal. The bullet journal is my #1 planner of choice right now because it’s free flowing and you do whatever the heck you want. Which is amazing, because I’m not spending more money on planners, HA.
I’ve been absolutely in love with the brand Eccolo at Chapters! They have tons of amazing school supplies including my favourite bullet journal. Additionally, if you’re more of a traditional bullet journalist I have a Leuchtturm in hot pink! Originally I decided to start off with the Eccolo one because it was less expensive and I was just finding my way in bullet journalling. But I’ve come to LOVE it. And I’m sure you will too.
And There You Have It
These are my literal secrets to an organized spring/summer semester. When you’re in such a condensed class you can’t afford to slack and these tools really keep me on track. Even when I have 30 days to finish an entire 3 credit accounting course. Yes. 30 days.
Go forth and seize your semester you guys! Put in the hard work and come out with a banging grade and then be thankful it’s over. I know that’s exactly what I’m going to do. What are your holy grail school supplies? Let me know down below! You KNOW I’ll check them out.
As always. Much love!
