3 Apps For Animated Instagram Stories
Stories are becoming more and more popular every day. Did you know that people even get paid to just create Instagram stories for companies? Jealous! Something that I hear all the time is people wondering “how do I get animated Instagram stories like the big companies?” Well, let me tell you it’s not a 10K and up requirement, it’s just some simple apps!
Now, I know there are a TON of fancy ways you can do this through your computer with real editing software but… let’s be real. We don’t really have that extra 30 minutes to spend on 15 second animated Instagram stories. So without further ado, here are the 3 apps that make animating your Instagram stories MUCH easier. Let’s go!
This is my go to when it comes to animation. HypeType is a super simple app that allows you to simply upload your photo, create your caption, and animate it. TA DA! How easy right?! There are TONS of different colours, styles, and font option within the app and it literally takes about 15 seconds to do.
I should mention that there is a free and a paid version of HypeType. The free version puts the little watermark at the bottom of the screen and the paid version does not. I believe the paid version also has extra styles, etc. but the free version is alright by me.
This is totally a fun app that I haven’t used tons on my animated Instagram stories but I will be in the future. The animated is so cute and clever and it’s also a very easy app to use. You simple type in what you want to say and Legend spit out TONS of options for you.
There’s tons of fun colours and so many amazing ways to spice up your stories. My only little problem with Legend is that while there are tons of colours some of them aren’t great combos for my person brand. I haven’t looked into it too much but I’m sure there are ways to customize the colours.
Overtime I see this name in my apps I always sing “Mask Off” to myself, I just can’t help it okay? Now… where were we? MaskArt is a WONDERFUL tool for those of you who are a bit more advanced with your stories or feed. MaskArt is basically a cinemagraph app (shoutout to Eric for teaching me all about cinemagraphs!) that isolate certain parts of an image and move different part.
Essentially, you take a video and then isolate the parts that don’t want to move. It’s honestly pretty simple, you just outline everything until it looks how you want. Eric actually did a really cool one with a time lapse of the sky and it totally got me inspired.
There You Have It
Some simple and fun ways to create animated Instagram stories. When I first started seeing people doing these types of stories I was blown away. It’s all still fairly new so YOU can get right on in the game with the big dogs of Instagram without hiring someone to do it for you. Some amazing examples I’ve seen of animated Instagram stories is Motivational Monday’s by my gals over at Bloguettes. Their perfectly crafted animated Instagram stories totally fit with their brand, and I’m obsessed. What are some of your favourite Instagram accounts? Let me know in the comments below!
