Let me tell you one thing – I’ve gone through many a rebrand.
I started out a an everything blogger, then fashion, then beauty, fitness, college, lifestyle. You name it? I did it. And let me tell you I had to change something every.single.time.
But to be completely honest, I learned so much from the whole experience.
When it came to doing a rebrand it got me to actually dig deeper into myself, my brand, and what I wanted out of my business. The result? The alive and thriving K Is For Karly you see today.
Now, I know rebranding can be a pain in the butt. So here’s 3 signs to look out for to let you know you might need to rebrand.
1. You’re Unhappy With Everything You’ve Put Out
Been there, extra done that. I can’t tell you the countless times I’d finish a weeks worth of social content and hate everything I put out. Nothing ever felt exactly right to me no matter how hard I tried. Looking back now I know it was because I had subconsciously changed the vision for myself and my brand.
Now trust me, I get it. Creating content isn’t all fund and games. It takes some time. And the feeling absolutely sucks when you’ve work so hard but still don’t love your finished product. If everything you’re putting out isn’t making you happy, you might need a rebrand.
2. Your Business Has Matured
A classic example for this is my blog theme. If we’re being honest this is my third theme in two years. And do you want to know why? Because my business is always evolving. This recent theme was designed to give my business more of an actual business feel – rather than just a blog.
Your business is a reflection of yourself so it’s totally guaranteed that your brand will evolve too. And there’s no shame in that game! If you feel like you’ve outgrown your current brand – it’s time for a re brand.
3. You Keep Trying To Change Things
Bringing it right back to my blog theme something that I really noticed before rebranding every single time was trying to change things. I kept adding in different plugins, trying to code things differently, and overall just trying to change things up. I also completely switched up my business cards and re worded all of my bio’s on social media.
A sure sign that it’s time to change is actually changing things. (How profound right?) If you find yourself switching up the wording, changing the colours, changing your slogans. You might need to reevaluate your brand and your business purpose.
That is all for today my friends!
